At the very end of the Denali Park road, past Wonder Lake, you’ll find a unique enclave in the park known as Kantishna. This area is home to Denali Backcountry Lodge. Discover Alaska with our seasoned driver on a Denali Wildlife trip in our private bus from the park entrance to the lodge. The park entrance fees, all meals and snacks, all guided activities (except flightseeing), and all naturalist programs are inclusive.
Located on the bank of Moose Creek, the spacious two-story main lodge has a sitting area, natural history library and video collection. The forty-two comfortably appointed cedar cabins have running water, private baths, and heat – all rarities for the area. There are two outdoor gazebos, near the creek, where you can anticipate the spirit of Alaska.
You are now face to face with Alaska and with your choices of fishing, gold panning, guided hikes, mountain biking and so much more. Denali Backcountry Lodge brings in writers, photographers, naturalists, and historians, to give talks and slide shows to its guests. Staying for at least two to three nights is necessary if you want to participate in any activities. A perfect Alaska vacation!
