Denali Ridge Adventure’s is ideal for those with the time and desire to get deep into the Alaskan bush surrounding Denali National Park. Lasting about 4 hours from pick up to drop off, this tour goes much farther (18+ miles), much higher and includes a wide variety of trail conditions including stream crossings, marsh, bouncy tree-root rutted trails and steep hill-climbing. Spectacular 360° overlooks provide views of the northern flanks of the Alaska Range, Mt. Healy, Otto Lake and the surrounding Healy Valley. Note: This tour availability is weather and trail dependent. High difficulty level.
Traveling along old coalmine and ATV trails, the Denali Wilderness Adventure includes two breathtaking overlooks, with wildlife often sighted along the way. It then heads down to the creek bed, where drivers spend about 15-20 minutes splashing through the water, with the total tour covering about ten miles. The creek bed portion of the tour also includes time where the guides may permit drivers to drive on their own in a designated area, conditions permitting. This tour departs at 11:00 AM, and the pick up time is 10:30 AM at Denali Cabins.
