Many People visit Denali National Park and mostly spend their entire time in and around their hotel, near the Park Entrance. There is so much to do and see, in Denali National Park, even if you are just staying near the Entrance. The first thing you have to consider is of course, how you are going to get to the park. Coming from Anchorage, you have a few choices. One choice is to take advantage of the convenient and comfortable Anchorage Denali Express Motorcoach, traveling straight from Anchorage to Denali. Another choice is to travel on the Alaska Railroad, which takes a bit longer, but is a beautiful trip. 3 to 4 Day Getaways before or after your Alaska Cruise
If you are taking a Southbound cruise from Alaska, you are most probably flying into Alaska, and either planning to land in Anchorage or Fairbanks. Most of the time, since there is a higher frequency of flights to Anchorage than Fairbanks, either your cruise company, or your travel agent would recommend you to fly to Anchorage. Similarly, if you are taking Northbound cruise to Alaska, you are probably flying back to your home from either Anchorage or Fairbanks.

Denali Backcountry Adventure Overview
There seems to be some common misconceptions about the Denali Backcountry Adventure. We’d like to lay those to rest, and give a complete overview of the adventure. First of all, some background on the route:
The Denali Park Road begins about 240 miles north of anchorage, and 120 miles south of Fairbanks, on the George Parks Highway.
