A New Season Begins
With one day away from opening, I sit here in my office and look out through the window upon empty Adirondack and rocking chairs awaiting guests. The sky is mixed with passing gray clouds and small pockets of blue. A slight breeze in the air rustles the new spring leaves, which continually adjust to a new season. Mosquitoes gently bump the glass to my office window reminding me of yet another change in season. I feel like the Park has welcomed us, and there is a sense of calm anticipation in the air for the busy months to proceed. Continue reading
Opening Day at Denali Cabins
On time, the Anchorage Denali Express pulled in the front entrance with small number of excited guests, the small count is not unusual for the first shoulder season days. The guests were assigned to their cedar cabins, all eagerly wanting to start their adventures in the Denali Park area. Still on the chilly side time of year, they were understandably unwilling to jump into the hot tubs, but instead took a shuttle to the park entrance to shop and have a scrumptious meal at one of the many choice restaurants.
