New Half Day Cruise
Let me tell you about a benefit of working in the travel industry – the first to hear about new and exciting tours and adventures. If we are lucky, we get a complimentary ticket. Well that is what I’m excited to talk about today. A new glacier and wildlife tour that includes a courtesy ticket made available to us from Major Marine tours. “Limited Space” and “Book Early” is the standard for everyone, even more so if one of these rare occasions happens by.
It’s been ten years since I’ve gone on a glacier cruise; it was to the Portage Glacier. Back then, you could see the glacier from the visitor’s center. This new tour is going out of Whittier on one of the famous Major Marine wildlife and glacier tours. The tour is in August, so watch the photo gallery and this blog for the report!

Alpha Mountain Hike – Inside Denali National Park
An account by Andrew, a Naturalist Guide at Denali Backcountry Lodge.

A small intimate group, just the way you want it. By the time we had crossed over Moose Creek to the edge of the property, our group had felt like we had known each other for years. The hike description leads one to believe they will receive a true Alaskan bushwhacking experience, and a bushwhacking experience is most definitely had. Continue reading

Thuderbird Falls and Eklutna Lake are very popular spots for locals on a beautiful day. Whether you want to hike about, bike, fish or just paddle along, this is the perfect getaway for a whole family. Continue reading
